Sweet treats by the glass

We love chocolate as much as the next person but if, like us, you’ve still got a cupboard heaving with the stuff after Easter then you might be taking a break from it for a while.

On the other hand, that’s not to say you still don’t fancy a smidge of something sweet and delicious, in which case we’ve got some lip-smacking drink suggestions right here.

Juicy fruit wines

While they don’t quite count as one of your five a day, our refreshing Fruit Wines are a great alternative when you want something sweet but light.

Think of a fruit and there will almost certainly be a fruit wine made from it. With plenty of options to choose from, we recommend our apricot, blackcurrant, cherry, peach, raspberry and strawberry as juicy choices that are on the sweeter side.

All of these make satisfying long drinks with soda or your preferred fizzy mixer. They are also a perfect accompaniment to fruity puddings and desserts, or as an unusual serve alongside soft cheeses – or drizzled into slots in a wheel of brie before you bake it.

Cracking cream liqueurs

Our luscious, award-winning Cream Liqueurs are lovingly blended in small batches using delicious fresh cream, mellow spirit and natural flavours to create the smooth and deliciously irresistible flavours. Take your pick from Salted Caramel, Double Chocolate, Butterscotch, and the latest addition to our range: Mocha Cream Liqueur.

You might be a purist who prefers a simple, straight-up glass of your chosen flavour chilled or over ice. Alternatively, they add a luxurious splash to a bowl of your favourite ice cream, or an opulent extra stirred into custard.

If your tastebuds are in the market for something new, the fresh coconut and white rum flavour of our Sisserou Cream Liqueur is delicious whipped into some cream as a topping on generous slices of roasted pineapple.

Marvellous mead

We ferment, blend and age our award-winning meads on-site using our secret blends of honey to create the rich, floral and sweet characteristics for which they are famed.

Mead can have a wide range of flavours depending on the source of the honey, fruit and spices added, so if you are unsure of where to start then our Traditional Mead is a great introduction. Sweet, and full-bodied with rich, deep honey flavours and a moreish honeycomb finish, it makes it a great accompaniment to strong cheeses and hearty casseroles.

Fruit aficionados rave about our Black Cherry Mead with its beautiful combination of the sweet and tart flavours of honey and wild cherries. Another easy drinker on the rocks, it also pairs perfectly with dark chocolate, rich desserts and even steak.

Cider for your sweet tooth

Made exclusively by us, Annings Fruit Ciders come in six delicious fruity flavour combinations that perfectly balance the tanginess of the cider apples.

For a refreshing thirst-quencher, our limited edition Annings Crushed Pink Grapefruit and Pineapple fruit cider has that kind of sweet-tart taste that’s so invigorating on a sunny day.

Alternatively, a generous glass of Annings Pear and Peach cider makes the ideal drinks partner for sharing platters of Parma ham and blue cheeses.

And don’t forget our special offer for the whole of April of 10% off all Annings Ciders – as well as Jack Ratt Vintage Sparkling, and 75cl Jack Ratt Scrumpy and Vintage still ciders – when you enter the code SPRINGCIDER2020 at checkout.
