If you think there is nothing more refreshing on a summer’s day than a nice, cold, award-winning cider then you are not alone. Twenty years ago we started making real, simple, old fashioned quality ciders, and now we have an unrivalled reputation for producing ciders of the highest standard.

In fact, two of our Lyme Bay ciders have just added to our trophy cabinet, taking home a couple of medals at this year’s prestigious International Cider Challenge awards.

Lyme Bay ciders

Award-winning ciders

Now in its seventh year, the International Cider Challenge is run by Off Licence News and attracts entries from the UK, Ireland, France, Australia, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Japan, Spain, South Africa, New Zealand and the US.

The nine-strong judging panel – comprised of buyers, award-winning independent retailers, cider experts, journalists and cider makers – awarded 19 gold medals, 44 silvers and 65 bronzes. Our Lyme Bay Sparkling Cider won Bronze – for the second year running – and our Lyme Bay Jack Ratt Vintage Dry Cider was awarded a Silver medal.

Westcountry cider making

We are passionate about keeping the skill of Westcountry cider making alive and use nothing but the pressed juice of locally grown traditional cider varieties such as Dabinett, Kingston Black and Yarlington Mill.

If you’ve never tried our ciders, or are already a die-hard fan, you can find out more about our range of still and sparkling ciders on our cider page here.

You can also see them all at our Winery shop so do pop in if you are passing, or get in touch with our friendly team via email at info@lymebaywinery.co.uk or by calling us on 01297 551355 if you’d like to order by phone.
