Whether you’re a fan of Valentine’s Day or not, we think that getting halfway through February is a reason to rejoice in itself. Once we hit February 14th there’s only a few more weeks of winter left to go, so if you are planning on raising a glass to celebrate, we’ve got a couple of suggestions that’ll get you in the pink.
And ‘pink’ is the operative word here. If you want to win the heart of someone special, or simply try something new that’ll put a sparkle in your loved one’s eye – and in their glass – we’ve got two rose-tinted sparkling wines that will hit the mark like Cupid’s arrow.
Strawberry Sparkling Fruit Wine
An elegant sparkling wine, our soft, delicious Strawberry Sparkling Fruit Wine is made using the fresh juice of ripe strawberries hand-picked in Herefordshire. Handmade in bottle, it is left to sparkle naturally resulting in a fine, creamy mousse that complements the delicate flavour of summer strawberries.
If that sounds a bit decadent, then console yourself in the knowledge that strawberries are packed with vitamin C, which helps protect cells and keep the body and its vital organs in tip top condition – which is what you’ll need if you’re planning a long and happy life with your loved one.
Sparkling Rosé
For an evening with a touch of class, our Sparkling Rosé boasts a bright, fruit-driven palate with a richness of honey and hints of brioche and almond that saw it take home the Best English Wine title at the Great British Food Awards 2017, as well as silver at the International Wine & Spirits Competition and the UKVA Wine Awards, and Bronze at the International Wine Challenge 2017 and the Decanter World Wine Awards.
Our talented winemakers lovingly crafted it from red wine made from a small parcel of exceptionally ripe Burgundy clone Pinot Noir that was hand-harvested and sorted in the vineyard before being processed by gravity and given a five-day cold maceration. They blended this with our Blanc de Noirs cuvée to create a classy fruit driven Sparkling Rosé, with the end result sure to put some colour in your cheeks at any time of the year.
