Our Country Wines are inspired by the wines traditionally made from hedgerow fruits and flowers. The range includes both lighter, drier wines and more intense, old-fashioned berry-rich varieties. Many of the country wines make delicious spritzers, mixed 50/50 with soda water. See the right column for a full list of our numerous awards. Our wines are generally produced at 14.5% Alc. When using our guide please be aware that due to the nature of fruits and flowers, a dry country wine will always be a little sweeter than a dry table wine.

Cowslip A delicate, medium sweet wine with subtle floral undertones. Awarded Gold at the 2008 Great Taste Awards.

Awarded Two-star Gold at 'Great Taste Awards' 2010 & 2009. Judges comment: ‘Well made with a clean, fresh, true taste. Very palatable.’

Gooseberry An appealing, light wine with generously ripe gooseberry character.

(Traditional) 		Traditional, rich honeyed flavours. A great desert wine. Awarded One-star Gold at 'Great Taste Awards' 2010. Judge's comment; ‘Full on honey & a good aroma, we all felt the honey is high quality and the flavour's clean.’

Mead
(West Country) 		A delicious honey based wine with a sweet spicy overtone. Slightly drier than Traditional Mead.

Nettle Light in style with crisp acidity, displaying a summery character of nettle together with hints of melon and grapefruit. Awarded One-star Gold at the 'Great Taste Awards' 2009 and Bronze at the 'Taste of the West Awards' 2009

Parsnip A good honest parsnip wine with a distinctive earthy finish.

Peach Sweetly scented, summery wine with soft, ripe fruit flavours.

Festive Tipples

From October to Christmas only, we produce a Mulled Wine and Christmas Mead. Both drinks are sold in 75cl bottles. 13% Alc Vol.
